Florence & The Machine's first appearance at Splendour in the Grass is one that many fans will count as one of the best years of the festival. With the likes of The Strokes, LCD Soundsystem, Ben Harper and Pixies all performing alongside the British band, Florence & The Machine definitely stood out as one of the bands of Splendour 2010. Since then, full tours by Florence Welch have been scattered, especially down this way, so when her return to Australia for 2015 was announced, the idea of her potentially throwing down some headline dates on the visit were obviously exciting.
Today, that news has been confirmed, with two exclusive Splendour sideshows for Florence & The Machine being slated for July in Melbourne and Sydney. The gigs are not only going to be their only Australian headline appearances, but because demand is going to be incredibly high for this one, fans will only be able to purchase their tickets through a ballot system.
Ballot entries must be received before noon AEST on May 28th, the successful applicants will then be notified by email after the ballot shuts. They'll be given the opportunity to purchase from 2pm, May 29th until 2pm AEST, May 30th via an exclusive link with a special code.
